對於擁有特定語言技能、或從事特定職業的「快速通道」申請人，移民部將會優先考慮發出「永久居留權邀請 」 (ITA) ，從而引進更多所需的專業人才。昨天 (6月28日) 移民部部長 Sean Fraser 終於公布了有關各個類別的邀請時間以及詳細資料。
- 第一輪類別選拔於6月28日開始，目標是邀請 500 名合資格醫療保健專才。
- 第二輪類別選拔將於 7 月 5 日舉行，目標是再邀請 1,500 名合資格醫療保健和更多的科研、技術、工程和數學專才。
35個合格資醫療保健職業包括:
- 31112 聽力學家和言語病理學家 (Audiologists and speech-language pathologists)
- 31201 脊椎按摩師 (Chiropractors)
- 31110 牙醫 (Dentists)
- 31121 營養師和營養師 (Dietitians and nutritionists)
- 41320 教育輔導員 (Educational counsellors)
- 31102 全科醫生和家庭醫生 (General practitioners and family physicians)
- 42203 殘疾人教練 (Instructors of persons with disabilities)
- 31204 運動學家和其他治療和評估專業職業 (Kinesiologists and other professional occupations in therapy and assessment)
- 32101 執業護士 (Licensed practical nurses)
- 32201 按摩治療師 (Massage therapists)

- 交通運輸業專才 (Transport)
- 農業發展和農產品生產專才 (Agriculture and agri-food)
- 精通法語人士 (French-speaking and bilingual candidates)
除了一般的「快速通道」抽籤邀請之外，這些基於類別的選拔計劃亦會全年持續進行。要知道近年來移民幾乎佔加拿大勞動力增長的100%。所以，政府希望吸引更多合資格的優才和專業人士到加拿大發展，以幫助僱主解決勞動力不足的問題。
